About 350 members of the Party of Socialism and Liberation rushed onto I-676 around 4 p.m. Saturday, blocking traffic while holding signs protesting violence overseas. The highway was temporarily shut down in both directions. State troopers said they made 58 arrests, and Philadelphia police also said they made at least two arrests. I-676 was cleared and reopened around 8 p.m.
Certain vehicles are banned from traveling on some roadways due to slippery conditions caused by the expected winter weather. PennDOT also reduced speed limits.
