The 29th general conference of Englan Range Student’s Union (ERSU) under Wokha district was held on December 19 at New Changsu village under the theme, “Excel beyond boundaries”. The conference was graced by member, Nagaland State Human Rights Commission, R. Nzanbemo Lotha as chief guest.
DIMAPUR Excise personnel manning the Khuzama inter-state check gate seized 570 gram of suspected heroin worth INR 1.7 crore at street value on June 27. An update from the assistant commissioner of Excise, Vithoselie Terhuja, stated that the seizure was made from the cabin of a truck bearing registration No. NL07A-7955 consisting 57 soap cases containing suspected heroin. It added that two persons identified as Rohit Rai and Ranjit Rai, both driver and handyman of the vehicle, were arrested and a case has been registered under NDPS Act ‘85.

Our Reporter Dimapur, Nov. 13 (EMN): Lopilo Lolo Yanthan, a designer from Dimapur represented Nagaland at the 7th season of Northeast International Fashion week (NEIFW), which was held on November 12 and 13 at Guwahati, Assam. Yanthan, who is from New Changsu village in Wokha disttirct, presented a combination of western and cultural designs in her clothing lineup. She completed her design course at Style and Elan Designing Institutute in Dimapur. She said it was her first experience participating in such a big event and was felt privileged and honoured to be a part of it and also to be representing Nagaland. The 7th Season of NEIFW consisted of aspiring fashion designers from all over the northeastern states. The first day of the fashion show was opened by Rajdeep Ranawat, a prominent designer from India.
