This summer adults 50+ are invited to a series of four writing sessions with Nevada Poet Laureate Gailmarie Pahmeier! The series of poetry writing sessions for older adults will be held on Monday evenings from 5:30 PM until 7 PM beginning June 20 and concluding on July 18 (no class July 4 due to the holiday).
Silver City’s inaugural poetry festival kicks off with a reading and workshop by Nevada Poet Laureate Gailmarie Pahmeier on Sunday, April 3 at 3 pm at the Silver City Schoolhouse.
Two talented Nevada poets earned special recognition from the Nevada Arts Council through fellowships granted in cooperation with the National Endowment for the Arts in 2015. Laura Wetherington and Jared Stanley will speak of their work and read poetry during a free program and reception at 4 p.m.
