Nevada businesses and destinations attending the Governor’s Conference on Tourism, Oct. 27-29, will have the opportunity to meet with nearly 40 tour operators, receptive operators, wholesalers, and airlines from around the world at the conference’s ever-popular sales marketplace.
Nevada tourism officials attended the launch of the China Tourism Year in Beijing on Monday, marking a cooperative effort to increase travel between China and the United States.
Reno artist Nate Clark’s paintings are featured at the Nevada Arts Council’s OXS Gallery through March 11, with a reception and artist talk set for 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 19. Clark’s discussion begins at 6:15. The reception is free and open to the public.

The Nevada Arts Council has awarded $9,148 in Jackpot Grants to nine Nevada artists and one public institution for arts and arts learning projects. Jackpot grants are awarded on a quarterly schedule and are designed to support arts projects initiated by artists, schools, nonprofit organizations and public institutions.
