It was a heated day in the witness box for Brittany Higgins in Sydney's Federal Court on Thursday, as she was heavily cross-examined by Bruce Lehrmann’s legal team in his defamation case.
Network Ten lawyer Dr Matthew Collins KC has requested Bruce Lehrmann not to “engage in an argument” during an interrogation about his second meeting with Fiona Brown, the chief of staff of then-defence industry minister Linda Reynolds following the alleged incident at Parliament House.
Lawyers for Network 10 have accused Bruce Lehrmann of giving a "false" statement to the Australian Federal Police about whether or not alcohol was stored at Parliament House on the night of the alleged rape of Brittany Higgins.
