Sasquatch, a new docu-series on Hulu, asks a simple yet mind-boggling question: Did a mythical creature really kill three men on a Californian marijuana farm in the 90s?
What sounds absurd at face value soon flips the entire true crime genre on its head with an engrossing and sometimes unnerving exploration of what really happened on that fateful night in 1993.
With the help of an investigative journalist called David Holthouse, filmmaker Joshua Rofé dives into Sasquatch lore and soon uncovers something far more sinister lurking among those ancient Redwood trees. Hulu
To recap, Holthouse first learned of the murder in question back when he was working on the farm where these deaths occurred. One night, a few co-workers returned from the fields all shaken up, convinced that a Sasquatch had killed and mangled three people. Their boss quickly dismissed it all as a joke, but that night stuck with Holthouse for 25 years, until one day, Rofé called him

The four-episode series centers on Richard Ramirez, the serial killer who terrorized Los Angeles and San Francisco in the 1980s. Ramirez didn t have a certain “type” of target; he murdered young people, old people, women, men, and across races. He also sexually assaulted women and children. He was a monster; there s no other way to describe him.
Netflix goes into detail about Ramirez s crimes, sharing testimonials from survivors and their families, as well as photos from the actual crime scenes. The images are disturbing, and many are presented in dramatic slow motion. BuzzFeed calls the series a “gory mess.” Others on Twitter are using different words.

Ramirez is the focus of the new docuseries Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer, which remains the second most-streamed Netflixshow in the UK this week. The Texas-born murderer carried out a number of depraved attacks, which led to the deaths of at least 13 people. Ramirez received 19 death sentences for his horrific crimes and was on death row when he died from complications related to B-cell lymphoma nearly eight years ago.

Bronson, now 68, is renowned for being “Britain’s most notorious and violent prisoner”. The former bare-knuckle boxer, born Michael Peterson, was originally sentenced for petty crimes and robbery in the Seventies, before his term was extended to life imprisonment due to his dangerous behaviour. Public fascination with Bronson remains to this day and some younger fans have emerged after an eponymously named film starring Tom Hardy further-cemented his crimes in history.

Ramirez became known as The Night Stalker for the disgusting attacks he carried out on men, women and children in Los Angeles and San Francisco during the Eighties. After the serial killer’s apprehension following a public appeal, he received 19 death sentences from the court. Ramirez was found guilty of 13 counts of murder, five attempted murders, 11 sexual assaults and 14 counts of burglary.
