LUZ ZUNIGA/Stuff The New Zeaeland Cider Festival is saying cheers to Nelson this year, but will be back in 2022. Nelsonians looking forward to this year s cider festival will have a little further to travel, after festival organisers announced the 2021 event would be hosted in Hawke’s Bay. The New Zealand Cider Festival has been hosted in Nelson since 2016. After five years of successful festivals at Nelson s Founders Park, festival organisers have announced the next phase for the festival will be alternating between Hawke’s Bay and Nelson. Shelley Haring, managing director of Nelson Venues & Events which manages the festival on behalf of the New Zealand Fruit Wine & Cider Makers Association, said in a statement the festival had always had medium-term plans to alternate between the two locations. ....
