in pink right now and they are basically the coastal counties. farther inland, though, some of these lightly shaded blue counties are also in an advisory. that would include burlington county and areas right up to the delaware river in south jersey also central delaware. so, later this evening in through thursday we re looking at the potential of snow that could pile up enough to give you real travel problems. in closer to philadelphia we re also looking at slippery conditions potentially for the morning commute. ahead of all of this you see plenty of sunshine. cloud cover will be digging in a little bit later on especially from the south. you can see it sort of riding up through the carolinas right now and that s because of that approaching coastal low pressure center. the nor easter that will be on the way later tonight and in through early tomorrow. 18 degrees currently in philadelphia. not quite as raw as it s been the last couple of days. 10 degrees right now in allentow
southern burlington county and then all the way down the shore to wildwood and southern delaware and sussex county and kent county delaware as well as all the rest of south jersey is in an advisory. these are the areas expecting to see the most impactful snow although even southeastern pennsylvania on some models will also pick up something. as we take a look right now at satellite, you ve got plenty of sunshine on the way early but you can see how the clouds are beginning to dig up from the south in association with that approaching nor easter. temperatures this morning are pretty cold. 16 degrees in philadelphia. and up in allentown, we ve managed to dip all the way to 4 degrees under clear skies and all the way down to two in reading. 11 degrees in trenton. 12 in wilmington and 24 in cape may. winds not a big factor this morning but in some cases they are forcing those wind chills down a little bit. in most areas, though, you ve got a pretty similar profile as winds are fa
cold and we ve got single digit temperatures in the northern and western suburbs. the big story, of course is the winter storm watch and that approaching nor easter and right now all coastal counties in delaware and south jersey are under a storm watch. this starts this evening, goes all the way until thursday evening and now an advisory has been added in the rest of the south jersey counties all the way up to the i-95 corridor. and dover, delaware and kent county delaware also included. this is where most of the snow will likely fall. although it s possible that philadelphia and some parts of southeastern pennsylvania also get something. ahead of all of this we re actually looking at sunshine a little later this morning to start out. and then this cloud cover that you can see welling up and pushing north toward raleigh north carolina and into virginia shortly after that will start to overtake us and you re starting to see a little precipitation down south. the outer reaches
