Beginning April 23, six new local concepts will take up spots at Norton Commons North Village Market retail cottages. The cottages will be open Fridays 3-7 p.m., Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. The market will also hold Food Truck Friday events with vendors, brewers and music from 6:30-8:30 p.m. “Our business has really taken off since we brought our food truck to Norton Commons,” said Nelson Michelangeli, owner of Alchemy. “We have developed a strong customer base who look to us for prepared meals, baked goods, and made-to-order arepas and other great Venezuelan cuisine. The move to the cottages is hopefully another step toward a permanent presence. We have seen it happen with others who went from the cottages to dedicated brick-and-mortar locations. It’s a great launching pad.” ....
