DMC announces INR 70k for the best RRR performing colony

Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has announced cash award of INR 70K to the best performing RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) centre, which would be declared on June 5 coinciding with the World Environment Day. DIMAPUR Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has announced cash award of INR 70,000 to the best performing RRR (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) centre, which would be declared on June 5 coinciding with the World Environment Day. The second and third winners would also receive INR 60,000 and INR 50,000 respectively. This was announced by the DMC administrator, W Manpai Phom, during the inauguration of a temporary RRR centre under Swach Bharat Mission 2.0 campaign at DDSC stadium on Saturday. The temporary RRR centre was inaugurated by Neinuo Kire, president of Naga Women Hoho Dimapur (NWHD). The administrator informed that RRR campaign would be for three weeks beginning from May 20 to June 5. Dimapur-based organisations welcome order to curb illegal taxations

Dimapur, May 31 (EMN): The Dimapur-based frontal organisations including Dimapur Urban Chairman Council Federation (DUCCF), GBs’ Union Dimapur Sardar (GBUD), Dimapur Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) and Naga Women Hoho, Dimapur (NWHD), during its joint meeting on May 30, have welcomed the recent notification passed by the state government to curb illegal taxation by various groups, organisations and governmental agencies without legal sanctions. The joint meeting resolved to extend any possible assistance towards the law enforcing agencies in their assignment to tackle the menace of illegal taxation. The joint meeting also deliberated on certain directive issued in the said notification, which could potentially cause inconvenience and confusion to the residents of Dimapur urban areas in view of blanket ban on utilities fees levied by otherwise legitimate government agency, namely Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC).
