West Norfolk groups welcome £320k of coronavirus culture grants

Arts and heritage organisations in West Norfolk have been awarded more than £320,000 of grants in the latest round of support from the government s Culture Recovery Fund.
The scheme was established last year to help venues recover and re-open following the coronavirus shutdown.
Five West Norfolk groups and venues have been given support in a new round of grants announced today, which are intended to help prepare for re-opening during the spring and summer.

The biggest beneficiary in our area is Lynn s Corn Exchange, which has been given £124,000. ....

Alive West Norfolk given grant to open in a Covid safe manner

The body which runs most of West Norfolk s main leisure and fitness venues has been given £340,000 of funding to help them reopen in a Covid-secure manner from next month.
West Norfolk Council has today announced the grant allocation to itself and Alive West Norfolk, which is part of a £100 million government package, that is being distributed by Sport England.
The cash will be used to support plans for a phased reopening, which officials hope will be from mid-April, of facilities including Lynnsport and the St James Pool in Lynn, plus Alive Downham Leisure and the Oasis centre in Hunstanton. ....
