Baguio City enforces 8-hour liquor ban under Alert Level 2

(PNA file photo) BAGUIO CITY - The city government has shortened to eight hours its liquor ban and increased the capacity of establishments and facilities after it was placed under Alert Level 2. In Executive Order (EO) 160-2010 which took effect on Wednesday, the liquor ban in the city is now only from 2 a.m. to 10 a.m. from the previous 12-hour schedule from 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. The EO is in compliance with the new alert level classifications released by the Inter-Agency Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), which downgrade the city's category from the previous Alert Level 3. The general curfew is also lifted but this may be reimposed depending on the Covid-19 situation. The EO said the on-site capacity of public and private workplaces is now at 80 percent. NCR mayors urge closure of cemeteries from Oct. 29

(File photo) MANILA - The Metro Manila Council (MMC) on Tuesday urged local government units (LGUs) in the National Capital Region (NCR) to close cemeteries, memorial parks and columbaria from the public for five days to avoid possible spikes in Covid-19 infections. The MMC - composed of the 17 NCR mayors and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) - has asked LGUs to enact ordinances or adopt resolutions restricting access to these locations for five days, starting on October 29 up to November 2, 2021, through MMDA Resolution No. 21-22 s. 2021.
