Downtown North East sees boom as new businesses open, old ones expand NORTH EAST Michael Yori was still a teenager when he and his then-girlfriend, Lynn Yori, opened Michael s Pizzeria on South Lake Street in November 1987. Yori, now 52, has seen a lot of businesses come and go from downtown North East over the past three and a half decades. He s got one word for what he s seeing now, though: A boom. I don t think we ve seen this in 20, 25 years, where it seems like all of a sudden everybody wants to do something nice and make North East the place you want to show up to and be here, said Yori, who also owns Yori Wine Cellars.
