A winter storm will bring a round of strong and possibly damaging winds for most areas, with heavy wet snow for the Sierra late Sunday night into Tuesday morning and mostly rain down to the valley floors.
A High Wind Warning is underway for the region as Carson City braces for a fairly quick moving winter storm that is expected to bring 50 to 60 mph wind gusts followed by accumulating snow along the valley floors and 8 to 10 inches above 7,000 feet.
CARSON CITY The Nevada Department of Transportation is advising motorists of new flashing yield signs being tested and activated on certain Interstate 580 Carson City Freeway on-ramps beginning Wednesday, Dec. 18. The new yield signs located at the base of both northbound and southbound I-580 on-ramps from College Parkway and U.S.
