Rains Today: Rainfall activity ebbed in north India on Tuesday after three days of onslaught, revealing the extent of death and destruction as authorities reported at least 20 more fatalities and ramped up relief and rescue efforts. Landslides and flash floods have hit parts of Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and northeastern states due to heavy rains, claiming lives and leaving people stranded due to blocked roads.
The Indian Air Force continued its relief operations in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan on Thursday as heavy rainfall wreaked havoc in both the states. The weather agency has warned of heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh.
