At 11 years old, Damian Snyder will soon be entering sixth grade in the South Glens Falls School District. But he'll also be heading to Turkey to compete for Team USA in the Youth Muay Thai World Championships.

James Bruchac is a local author and storyteller who grew up outside of Saratoga Springs in the Adirondack foothills town of Greenfield Center.
A member of the Nulhegan Abenaki Tribe, and eldest son of Abenaki and Adirondack storyteller Joseph Bruchac III, Bruchac grew up immersed in the natural world, storytelling and native culture.
He now travels the world sharing his craft.

Wish Fest to benefit Make-A-Wish Northeast New York
AMSTERDAM – Local recording artists Madison VanDenburg of “American Idol” fame and David J will be among the performers at the fourth installment of St. Mary’s Hospital Presents Wish Fest on Saturday, July 10 at Riverlink Park, 2 Front St.
There will be food, drink, attractions for all ages, performances by Rock Junkies and the X-Squad Water Ski Show Team and a fireworks show.
The community music festival will benefit Make-A-Wish Northeast New York to help fulfill wishes for children with critical illnesses.
