Really hard slog. setting aside the expectations in the short-term, what does ukraine need to accomplish in the next few months to potentially setup a bargaining position down the road? their best efforts would be in unified combined strategy to sort of roll back some of the russian advantages. that s very hard to do because their command control structure, their nco core are really being made out of whole cloth over the last ten years or so. so they don t have the traditional trap lines of leadership down to the distributed command levels they would need. what i m suggesting is it would be very difficult for them to roll back russian advancements in the donbas region or donetsk or some of the eastern provinces. right now what s important for them they ve got work for every solution possible to unify command and ensure they can bring force against the russians in sort of a combined arms conflict. but, again, they haven t shown any ability to do that over the last two years. ....
