Seven Naxalites, including two women, were killed in an encounter with security personnel in a forest along the borders of Narayanpur and Kanker districts in Chhattisgarh on Tuesday, police said.
The incident took place on a road between Basaguda and Pusbaka villages under the Basaguda police station area at around 5 pm, but the motive behind the fatal attack was not immediately known, he said.
The incident occurred at around 3.30 pm near Bechapal Padampara village under Mirture Mirtur police station limits in the Naxal-hit district when a team of CAF was out on an area domination operation, an official said.
