PHOENIX The Arizona Department of Health Services announced Friday it has approved licenses for 86 facilities to begin selling recreational marijuana in the state.
Proposition 207 was passed by voters in the November election, allowing adults (aged 21 or older) to possess one ounce of marijuana and the recreational use of it in the state.
ADHS said Friday morning it had received 79 applications since the application period began early Wednesday. An application approval means the dispensaries can begin selling recreational marijuana as soon as they re ready to.
