It sketches frtretches from the the south and a National Weather service says its going to stay this way at least through the middle of the week. Were in washington where it is also below zero. A similar story playing throughout the country as people from montana to florida, texas to new england are under windchill warnings or advisories this morning. 90 of the nation started freezing causing all sorts of dangerous conditions. These are firefighters in massachusetts fighting flames while icicles form on their helmets. In houston temperatures in the low 20s a ....

Police are looking for the people who fired those shots. One woman in san lee an dro was hit. Cornell bernard talked with police and a witness to one of the shootings. Four, three, two, one. Everything going fine, and then we heard some gunshots like this. This man hosted the party. One woman was grazed by a stray bullet on her lower body, but she didnt realize she was injured for several minutes. She didnt care too much. And then she went to toilet and she see the injured. She got bleeding. Her injuries didnt require medical attention. A bullet was later found on the patio. Police say it likely came from someones celebratory ....

Fire crews across our area. Have seen a busy start to the new year. In the last 3 days, Fire Companies through northern virginia, washington dc and suburban maryland have responded to major structure fires more than a dozen times. And even when the fires are not caused by the cold the weather makes fighting them tougher. Fire crews say they have to take special precautions to make sure their water hoses dont freeze. Parts of 35 states remain under wind chill advisories or warnings with the record cold stretching from nebraska to new york. The deep freeze wont be heeting up any time soon with below average temperatures and dangerously cold wind chills expected over the next week. And its being blamed for several deaths.
