The carbon tax is a simple and effective tool for decarbonisation. Higher share of renewables often goes hand in hand with carbon taxation. Such is the case in Nordic countries for more than a couple of decades. Germany looks towards newly introduced carbon tax to fix the lower share of renewables in the heating and transport sectors.
