Good morning. Good morning. We are outside the the red gate, as you can see behind me here on indiana avenue, third and indiana not too far from d. C. Police headquarters here. There are about 20 or so people standing here waiting to get inside and the folks there tell me their tickets get them behind the reflecting pool. They will be standing up for the entire ceremony. This is one of many security checkpoints along the way. As you can see, there are folks still coming. Police still out here, of course. And as you can see, across the street there, National Guard troops. Weve seen this scene all throughout the downtown area, of course. Theres a massive presence of security. Security that you can see and, of course, security that you cannot see. Weve been service about the streets being blocked off. And, look, the best bet, no public or street parking. Forget about it. Be prethe paired to walk quite a distance to get where youre go ....

That producer for cbc said that they ran back and there were people surrounding the soldier administrating cpr. He was one of the normal guards around the war memorial. The police were called. The scene still unfolding. Ctv is reporting the person believed to be the shooter is still out. We received conflicting information on that part of the story. But right now were trying to get more details. This is breaking news. At least two people shot on Parliament Hill in ottawa. Officials confirm that the shots were fired striking a uniform officer or soldier at that scene. Armed police have surrounded the parliament and escorted lawmakers to safety.
