Doda (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], February 1 (ANI): The polio vaccination drive began in Jammu and Kashmir s Doda district on Sunday as part of the National Polio Immunisation Programme in which children in the age group of 0-5 years will be administered polio drops following COVID-19 protocols.
Today (Sunday) we started the Pulse Polio vaccination programme and vaccination on booth level took place here. There are 71,000 beneficiaries in our district in which children between 0-5 years will get vaccines. Vaccination is being done in 523 booths and a door-to-door campaign will take place for the next two days, said Dr Sagar D Doifode, District Development Commissioner, Doda. ....

IIT Bhub holds pulse polio drive for in-campus children

Around 40 children, aged below five, were administered the pulse polio drops inside the campus
Bhubaneswar, Jan 31: A pulse polio drive was organised at IIT Bhubaneswar for the in-campus children, under five years of age, as a part of National Polio Immunisation Programme under the Ministry of Health, Sunday. The pulse polio drive was organised by the Medical Unit of IIT Bhubaneswar in collaboration with the state government. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. R.V. Raja Kumar, Director, IIT Bhubaneswar appreciated the initiative by the Medical Unit of IIT Bhubaneswar headed by Dr M.A. Khan, in collaboration with the state government for organising a pulse polio drive for the in-campus children of under five years of age. ....

The nationwide Pulse Polio Immunisation (PPI) campaign will be undertaken today (Sunday, 31 January) covering children up to five years of age, with preventive measures for COVID-19

The countrywide immunisation programme was earlier scheduled to start from 17 January, however, it was postponed due to the COVID-19

The National Polio immunisation programme, as part of which children in the age group of 0-5 years are administered polio drops, has been rescheduled to January 31. Earlier, the Centre had deferred the drive till further notice.
The National Immunisation Day (NID), commonly known as Pulse Polio Immunisation programme, was scheduled for January 17 across India. The Union Health Ministry has communicated the decision to defer the polio immunisation programme to all states through a letter on January 9.
This is to inform that due to unforeseen activities, it is decided to postpone the scheduled Polio NID (National Immunisation Day) round from January 17, 2021 till further notice, according to the letter sent to the Principal Secretary in the Health department of all states. ....
