Copparam Shreyas Hareesh, a 13-year-old bike racer, died on July 5 in a fatal accident during the MRF MMSC FMSCI Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship at Madras Motor Racing Track in Chennai. Shreyas, who was popularly known as ‘The Bengaluru Kid’, had become the first Indian to reach the World Championship final in two-wheeler racing at the FIM Mini-GP World Championship in Spain.
