Maryland author adding to 'Dung Beetle' series


Author Daniel Meier Jr., who released his first book, “The Dung Beetles of Liberia” in 2019 through The Boutique of Quality Books Publishing, is currently working on two more novels.
The Owings resident, who graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a major in history and studied American literature and creative writing at the University of Maryland, was an aviation safety inspector for the was an aviation safety inspector for flight operations for the Federal Aviation Administration safety.
Meier also enjoys sailing the Chesapeake aboard his Bayfield 36.
Meier won numerous writing awards in 2020, including top honors in the Hollywood Book Festival, Pinnacle Achievement Award in Historical Fiction, National Indie Excellence Award in Historical Fiction, and in 2019 was he won the Silver Award in Literary Excellence in the Literary Titan Award and was the grand prize winner in the Red City Review Book Awards. ....
