Only 12 miles east of where hurricane laura made landfall. It did make landfall as a category two, and the forecast appears to have been quite accurate as a relates to the searc wind and rain. Highest totals were in lake charles. Additionally the baton rouge area received over 10 inches of rain in the same time. , evenas a very big storm if it was not as powerful as hurricane laura. It was bigger. It is obvious the hardest hit areas appeared to be southwest of louisiana. Obviously this was a serious, that, powerful storm produced significant amounts of damage. Today we are hosting our First Virtual congressional military family summit, and we are excited that all of you have joined us. We would prefer to gather in person.
