Sweden salmonella outbreak over, Linked to chocolate wafers In a follow-up on the Salmonella Enteritidis outbreak in Sweden, the Swedish Public Health Agency reports between 27 December 2020 and 1 April 2021, 32 people living in 15 counties fell ill after infection with one and the same type of Salmonella Enteritidis. Of the disease cases, 19 were children under the age of ten, while nine of the cases were over the age of 70.
