Sri Lanka : Transfers for 2,519 national school teachers in 2020

Dec 20, Colombo: The Ministry of Education says that out of 39,179 school teachers 2,519 teachers were transferred in the under the National School Teacher Transfer System in the year 2020 alone.
The transfers have been given under the National School Teacher Transfer Scheme for the transfer of teachers who have served in the same school for 10 years and under the annual teacher transfers.
Of these, 1,072 teachers have been transferred on a 10-year basis and another 1,447 teachers have been transferred on an annual teacher transfer basis. Inquiries into the appeals filed by the teachers regarding the transfers have also commenced. ....

Application deadline for the recruitment of National Teaching Diploma holders into Sri Lanka Teacher service, extended

The closing date for applying for the Recruitment of National Teaching Diploma holders into Sri Lanka Teacher service- 2020 for those who have completed National Colleges of Education coiurse in the years 2016-2018 has been postponed until the 20th.
Accordingly, the Ministry of Education announced that they can apply until the 20th.
Applicants are advised to visit www.ncoe.moe.gov.lk and enter information online for the awarding of teaching appointments.
