Lawmakers and state officials optimistic for new Education budget later this month

State lawmakers went home this morning after working overnight to finalize this year’s legislative session. They’re set to return later this month to tackle next year’s budget. State educators say they were pleased to see the end of Senate Bill 83, which would’ve allowed taxpayers dollars be used to pay for vouchers for private or homeschooling.
