Morse Institute Library offers digitized historical newspapers

Morse Institute Library offers digitized historical newspapers
Wicked Local
NATICK The Morse Institute Library, with a gift from the MutualOne Charitable Foundation, recently added a new local history resource with the digitization of all local historical newspapers, which were previously only available on microfilm.
The digital archive is indexed and can be searched by keyword. This resource is accessible to people anywhere in the world for free.
“With stay-at-home orders and the COVID-19 pandemic, the Morse Institute Library saw an increase in local history inquiries, said Karol Bartlett, reference and instructional librarian. Now we can respond very quickly to these inquiries, as well as offer patrons the ability to conduct their own research inside the library or from the comfort of their own home. You don’t even have to have a library card.” ....

Sullivan's Travels: Relay for Life scheduled for May 15

Sullivan s Travels: Relay for Life scheduled for May 15
One day, we will gather in groups and laugh and cry and be together.
One day…
Well, how about May 15?
That’s when the Relay for Life of Natick, Framingham, Sherborn, Ashland and Holliston will (hopefully) convene at Natick High’s Memorial Field.
Last year’s physical Relay was canceled because of the pandemic; most of the fundraising went virtual.
Should the Relay proceed as planned, there will be a day of games, activities and fun, all to raise money for the American Cancer Society.
This will be the first Relay without organizer Edna Glass, who passed last fall. In her honor, one of the teams has been named “The Unbeatable Edna Glass Team.” ....
