EDITOR’S NOTE: The city of Holland enforces its restrictions on short-term rentals through a firm that tracks listings on short-term rental platforms such as Airbnb and Vrbo and alerts the city of unauthorized rentals.
As mayor, I would have thought that Nathan Bocks’ actions would better reflect the input of the residents of Holland.
Despite how you, Mayor Bocks, personally feel about the UDO/rezoning when 90 percent of the hundreds of Holland residents who took the time to voice their opinions over the past five months made it clear to you and the planning commission how they feel about the planned rezoning and why they oppose it for a number of very valid reasons I found it odd that you and the planning commission still voted unanimously to pass this rezoning yesterday. To me, that doesn’t feel like you followed through with what the actual residents that you represent wanted for ....

The Gold Coast Suns will indirectly mark the tenth anniversary of their AFL debut when they host Carlton at Metricon Stadium this Saturday night as part of a huge Round 4 of the 2021 AFL season.
It seemed like only yesterday the club, which had the working name GC17, took to the field for its first ever AFL match which was played against the Blues on a warm Saturday evening at the Gabba, with the visitors winning by a whopping 119 points. ....
