In the immediate aftermath of Walcha grazier Mathew Dunbar’s death, his live-in partner Natasha Darcy told paramedics and police that he had received “bad news” about an injury to his leg earlier that day, sending him into a mental health spiral.
But the orthopaedic surgeon who saw Mr Dunbar on August 1, 2017 – with Ms Darcy present – has told the NSW Supreme Court most of Mr Dunbar’s symptoms had resolved and he was “extremely happy” with his progress.
