Letter to the Editor: A time for change

I am voting for Natalie Schlegel for Goodnow Library Trustee at the March 29 town election. She is an experienced manager in a broad-based university environment who is capable of evaluating issues that concern multiple stakeholders and working to best meet the needs of these stakeholders. She is an independent thinker and not easily swayed by emotion or agendas. She is the right person at this time to work through the controversies surrounding the Goodnow Library to best serve the Sudbury community as a whole.
The Goodnow Library Trustees have lost their way and need new blood to address some serious issues facing the Library. Many people are very confused as to why the trustees severed relations with the Friends of the Goodnow Library. The Friends, over the past 10 years alone, have supported the library with thousands of volunteer man-hours and hundreds of thousands of dollars in financial support. The Friends have been pillar

SUDBURY, MA The filing period for the 2021 Sudbury town election closed on Feb. 8, which means the slate of candidates running in the March 29 election has been finalized.
The 2021 election features three competitive races: Sudbury Select Board, the Sudbury School Committee and the Goodnow Library Board of Trustees.
Sudbury School Committee member Lisa Kouchakdjian is vying for one of two seats up for election on the Select Board. But Kouchakdjian is up against incumbents Dan Carty and Janie Dretler, who are both running to keep their seats.
League of Women Voters of Sudbury to tape Candidates’ Forum

The League of Women Voters of Sudbury will tape its Candidates’ Forum for the contested races in the March 29 town election on Feb. 27. Those contested races are for select board; Sudbury Public Schools School Committee, kindergarten through eighth grade; and Goodnow Library Board of Trustees.
Sudbury citizens are invited to submit questions for the candidates in those races by 5 p.m. Feb. 22. Questions may be submitted to the League by email to sudburycandidatesnight@gmail.com or by mailing to Candidates Forum, LWV Sudbury, P.O. Box 338, Sudbury, MA 01776.
