Kayla Pierce, a senior who has served as captain of the school’s volleyball and cheer teams, will represent Jefferson High School on the 2021 Portland Rose Festival Court. The daughter of Lisa Howard, Pierce was born in Portland and plans to pursue a career in clinical psychology.
Pierce was named princess during a Zoom presentation that included school and Rose Festival officials, Pierce’s predecessor on the court Natalie Cetina-Huchin and fellow candidates junior Rebekah (Becca) Booker and senior Marlejes (Marley) Padilla-Honl. ....
