The engineering consultants of a residential subdivision are blaming the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) for the flooding at Nasese in Suva recently.
The developers say that the reclamation and construction works at the Turner Bridge (Nasese Bridge) constricts the mouth of Laveti Creek, causing waters to build up further inland and flood residential properties along the creek.
Emailed communication between the engineering consultants, FRA and the Suva City Council (SCC) indicate that discussion on the issue of flooding in the Nasese area was initiated in November 2020. ....
