Police confirms killing of 9 persons in Nasarawa - Daily Post Nigeria

The Nasarawa State Police Command on Saturday said investigation into the attack and murder of nine people by gunmen in Ajimaka village in Doma Local Government Area of the state has begun.
A statement issued and signed by ASP Ramhan Nansel, the command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) said the incident occurred around 6:00 am on Saturday.
“On 24/4/2021 at about 0600hrs, information was received on same date that at about 0100hrs, unknown assailants attacked Ajimaka village situated at Nasarawa/Benue boundary, Doka district of Doma LGA.”
Nansel said a joint team of police and military personnel were deployed to the scene and nine corpses were recovered, each with multiple machete cuts. ....

Man drowns in Kano open well - Daily Post Nigeria

One Hamisu Ahmed, on Saturday got drowned in an open water well at Samegu behind Sahad, Kano State.
NAN reports that Fire Service Public Relations Officer, Saminu Abdullahi, who confirmed the incident said that the victim was a 20-year-old mechanic who went to take his bath after repairing a car.
Abdullahi said at about 07:31am, it received a distress call from one Muhammad Abdulmalik.
“On receiving the information, we quickly sent our rescue team to the scene at about 07:43 am,” he said.
Abdullahi added that Hamisu was brought out of the water dead and his corpse was handed over to his father, Alhaji Yahaya Usman of Dorayi Chiranci Quarters. ....
