Council endorses $344 million budget
Council will continue delivering high quality infrastructure projects, services, and initiatives for both current and future residents after endorsing an exciting $344 million budget recently.
The 2017/18 – 2021/22 Revised Delivery Program and 2021/22 Operational Plan (Budget) will see the delivery of a $180 million Capital Works Program, including the continuation of the $5.1 million Community Infrastructure Renewal Program (CIRP), as well as a budget surplus of almost $1.8 million reinvested into the community.
It will also see the delivery of Council’s Stage Three $113.9 million COVID-19 support package, after the successful rollout of Stages One and Two in 2020, for residents and local businesses adversely affected by the pandemic.

Local athletes join South West Sydney Academy of Sport
Local young athletes took centre stage and were acknowledged after being welcomed into the South West Sydney Academy of Sport (SWSAS) at a special civic ceremony last night.
More than 50 local sports stars were recognised from seven different sports in the area including AFL, basketball, BMX, netball, softball, triathlon and Wests Future Stars.
The selected athletes will now have access to specialist support services including coaching, sports science and sports medicine in their quest to take the next step and become professional athletes.
Mayor of Camden, Cr Theresa Fedeli, said the young athletes had a great chance to harness their skills and set themselves up for the next level in their careers.
