Scientists at the Indian Institute of Science have developed a new type of enzyme mimetic called NanoPtA that can effectively degrade toxic chemicals in industrial wastewater in the presence of sunlight. These nanozymes mimic the function of natural enzymes but overcome limitations such as sensitivity to denaturation and high production costs.
A new way to quickly eliminate fungal infections in the mouth has been developed by researchers at Penn Dental and Penn Engineering, using magnetically guided nanorobots.
