WILMINGTON Nancy Kise Hearne, 80, passed away Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021.
She was born in Ashland, Kentucky, in 1940 to the late Jack G. Kise and Eula Preston.
Mrs. Hearne was a graduate of Ashland Senior High School. She elected to continue her education at Peabody College, now part of Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Her first job following her college graduation was an H.R. position with Kentucky Power and Electric.
Mrs. Hearne is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph C. Hearne. They married in 1961 and relocated to North Carolina, where Joe served as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps. They built a wonderful life together and raised three children. ....
