Discotek Snags ‘Fighting General Daimos’ Anime One more trip back to the classics is coming in the form of this 1978 series with Discotek Media announcing the pickup of Fighting General Daimos. The series will see release as an SDBD title during 2021 with details and pricing to come later in the year. The 44-episode series aired throughout 1978 and into early 1970 as directed by Tadao Nagahama. Yuki Hijiri worked on the character designs with Sunrise handling the main production for it. The Japanese cast includes Akira Kamiya as Kazuya Ryūzaki, Miyuki Ueda as Erika, Hisashi Katsuta as Dr. Izumi, Kazuyuki Sogabe as Kyoshiro Yuzuki, Osamu Ichikawa as Richter, and Yōko Kuri as Nana Izumi. ....
