Ten Hindu Indian American youths, nominated by various Hindu faith-based organizations, were honored at the tenth annual Hindu Youth Awards.
At the virtual event, hosted by Vallabh Priti Seva Samaj, Houston, the youths were recognized for their service to the community and promoting Hindu culture.
In a letter addressed to Hindus of Greater Houston, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi called these awards âan opportunity for the youth to further strengthen the connect with their roots.â
The awards were presented by Consul General of India in Houston Aseem Mahajan, who lauded the youths for displaying leadership and their participation in the community as âit builds a strong foundation and binds the community,â stated a press release.

Ten Indian-American youths here have been honoured for their services to the community and promoting Hindu culture.
According to the Hindus of Greater Houston (HGH), a non-profit organisation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the winners and called the awards an opportunity for the Indian diaspora, particularly the youths, to further strengthen the connect with their roots.

At its 10
th annual Hindu youth awards event, the community organization Hindus of Greater Houston, honored ten individuals for their service to the community and promoting Hindu culture.
The event, which was held via video conference was hosted by Vallabh Priti Seva Samaj (VPSS), Houston.
The awardees were nominated by various Hindu faith-based organizations.
According to a press release, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi recognized and congratulated the youth in a letter addressed to Hindus of Greater Houston (HGH). He called these awards an opportunity for the youth to further strengthen the connection with their roots.

Houston: Like most other celebrations this year, the 10th Hindu Youth Awards will also be celebrated virtually on 19 December, from 8 pm to 9:30 pm. The celebrations will honor ten youth who were nominated by the Greater Houston area temples and organizations and will recognize them for their outstanding achievements and service to the community. Consul General of India, Shri. Aseem Mahajan will be the Chief Guest and will present the awards to the nominees as well as the “Akhil Chopra -Unsung Heroes Award” to Dr. Madan Gopal Luthra. Dr. Luthra is a retired doctor whose life goal is to serve humanity with total dedication. Apart from helping people who are in dire circumstances, he organizes plasma donations to help COVID patients.
