Health worker tackles 9000m in five-day climb marathon


He said his efforts to make a difference were a result of seeing a family friend with the disease and his work at the Nambour General Hospital.
The allied health worker is based at Nambour s Acute Restorative Care ward which works with Parkinson s and dementia patients.
Not only does it affect your ability to walk, but also your taste, speech and smell and in time all of your bodily functions, Mr McKitterick Gillet said.
At the moment there s about 100,000 Australians living with Parkinson s and then there s their carers and families all dealing with the disease at its various stages.
Mr McKitterick Gillett s goal is to raise $10,000. ....
