Time to check on the brandnew air filter that i installed in our hvac system on august 19, exactly 21 days ago. In just three weeks this is the result. As a point of reference, this is a brandnew filter on the left. I also made one of those diy air filters using a fan, filter and some tape. Again, you can see the crud that filtered out and it turns out that much of the particulates were high up in the atmosphere. Before lunch san jose had a decent ache ui of 59 but by 2 pm it jumped to 152. But we still found people exercising outdoors despite the bad air.
