Our CorrespondentKohima, Oct. 31 (EMN): Minister of Higher and Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along, said India has become a principled nation and global leader by empowering its people under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The minister was addressing the inaugural programme of the three-day photo exhibition and artificial intelligence (AI) display to commemorate ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: 8 years of Seva, Sushasan and Garib Kalyan,’ at St. Mary’s Cathedral Higher Secondary School, Kohima, on Monday. The event was organised by Central Bureau of Communication under Ministry of Information and Broadcasting in collaboration with St. Mary’s Cathedral HSS. While commemorating the 75th anniversary of Indian independence, Along said that it was vital to know that the “great nation” became a sovereign democratic republic after 200 years of British rule.
