The Ogun State Government has commenced the inoculation of frontline health workers, citizens at all the major Primary Healthcare Centres in the State on Thursday.
A statement issued in Abeokuta by Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin said the need to ensure even, equitable and unhindered access to the vaccine informed the decision to take the vaccines to all the Primary Healthcare centres. ....

The Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Kunle Oluomo has received his jab of Oxford/AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine, as the state government commenced inoculation of citizens at all the major Primary Healthcare centres in the State.
A statement issued in Abeokuta by Governor Dapo Abiodun’s Chief Press Secretary, Kunle Somorin said the need to ensure even, equitable and unhindered access to the vaccine informed the decision to take the vaccines to all the Primary Healthcare centres.
The statement noted that all the nurses and other community healthcare workers are being trained in the administration of the vaccines. ....

Lions Club donates N47m eye centre to Ogun

Lions Club International, District 404 B-1, Nigeria has donated its N47m upgraded eye centre to Ogun State.
The facility, according to the club, was funded with $64,993 grant from Lions Club International Foundation for renovation and upgrade.
The club added that the facility which has been in existence since 2007 was also provided with $56,791 grant for equipment and training of personnel.
District Governor of the club, Lynda Odunmbaku, who spoke at the official commissioning ceremony of the facility at the State Hospital, Ota, noted that there was the need to upgrade the facility in order to bring it up-to-date with the technological advancement in health administration. ....
