STACY SQUIRES/Stuff Alice Mason wins the women’s division of the 2021 Christchurch Marathon. Mike Lord and his three young children, Evelyn, Oliver and Archer, were cheering for Mike’s partner Krystie Woodyear-Smith, who was taking part in her second half-marathon. She was hoping to finish the course in 1hr 50min. Mike said the atmosphere was “awesome” and the event well set up. He and his children would meet Woodyear-Smith half-way through the half-marathon and at the end to show their support. This year’s event also played host to the national marathon championship.
