Music composer Shravan Rathod of the popular Nadeem-Shravan duo. Shravan breathed his last in Mumbai around 9.30 pm on Thursday. The renowned composer succumbed to Covid-19. Several Bollywood actors, musicians and filmmakers took to social media to express shock and mourn his demise. Amongst everyone, actor Ajay Devgn took to Twitter and mourned the loss of Shravan Rathod.
He also remembered his evergreen album for ‘Phool Aur Kaante’ which was composed by Nadeem and Shravan. Sharing the tweet, Ajay wrote, “Shravan (and Nadeem) walked 30 years alongside me in my career with the evergreen album for Phool Aur Kaante. Mumbai, April 23 (IANS) Sanjeev Rathod, son of late music composer Shravan Rathod, has opened up on the vacuum left by his father s untimely death to Covid. Sanjeev is Covid positive, too, and currently hospitalised, while Shravan s other son Darshan Rathod performed the late composer s last rites in the city on Friday.

Renowned playback singer Udit Narayan is in deep mourning. “I couldn’t sleep the whole night after hearing of Shravan Bhai’s death. It is so disturbing to hear of his death. He was like my own brother. We spent many evenings together chatting, and not just about music. And to think Shravan Bhai’s death could have been avoided!”
Please explain, I ask. Udit then drops a bomb. “Ignoring all attempts to dissuade him Shravan Bhai went to the Kumbh Mela. He also dragged his wife along. I found this out by chance when I called him two weeks ago. He said he was at the Kumbh Mela. I was shocked. Shravan Bhai had a history of chronic illnesses. He suffered from high blood pressure and acute diabetes. I wish he had not taken this huge risk and also put his wife under so much risk. Shravan came back and contracted Covid. His wife also has Covid. And his son ....

Celebrated music composer Shravan Rathod, of Nadeem-Sharvan fame, has been admitted to a hospital in the city, after he tested positive for COVID-19. Dr Kirti Bhushan, who is overseeing the musician’s care at the hospital, confirmed to ETimes that Shravan is undergoing the necessary treatment. He said, Shravan Rathod is on ventilator support and his condition is critical. There is a bit of heart enlargement and his pumping has been affected. We are taking the necessary steps for the same. We have made a medical team of physicians, cardiologists, a diabetologist and an intensivist, all of who are overseeing his care. ....
