Like many, Mancer said she wants to highlight the fact that food doesn t come from plastic bags. This push for food security, and heightened awareness about where food comes from, has increased the popularity of urban agriculture in communities all over North America - and Whistler is no exception.
Whistler residents should be concerned about where their food comes from and should understand the resources and time necessary to grow food, said Mancer.
