Covenant Hoops Ends Season In USA South West Tournament Wednesday, March 3, 2021 The No. 4 seeded Covenant men s basketball team had a 12-point first-half lead, but top-seeded Maryville rallied to defeat Covenant, 81-74, in the USA South West Tournament first round on Wednesday night inside Boydson Baird Gymnasium. Covenant ends the season with a 10-9 overall record. Maryville (9-2) advances to face Piedmont in the USA South West Tournament championship on Saturday. Four players scored in double-figures for Covenant, led by Chris Barnette s game-high 23 points. Will Crumly posted a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds, while Promise Igbanu also had a double-double with 10 points and 11 boards. Brady Palmer added 16 points and five assists. ....
