Updated: 5:09 PM EDT Jul 1, 2021 Daniel Robinson Reporter A Greenville man has accomplished a major milestone after losing his leg during a horrific crash in 2020.Myles Berrio set the goal of walking one mile on the swamp rabbit trail and not only did he accomplish that goal, but he did it with his daughter on his shoulders.Step by step and hand by hand, Berrio and his family walked down the trail. Friends, family and community members could be heard cheering and sharing words of encouragement as they joined him on his journey.Berrio said he set this goal after being injured in a crash eight months ago.“I do remember waking up in the hospital, honestly the very next memory from coming home from the gym and getting hit by the drunk driver is basically being asked if it’s okay to amputate my leg, in order for me to survive.
